I started these walks nine years ago now in Sacramento, CA. My family and I continue the tradition with not only our family but our Starbucks family. We always bring Starbucks along- be it my whole team or just a few partners but everytime we go we have a blast. Me personally, I walk for my family- my Noni. My Noni was diagnosed and passed away living with Alzheimer's. In memory of her and the struggle, hardship and pain it caused I walk for my family. I am leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to our team, to myself or any member on Green Apron Givers to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer's!
