Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping and neither are we. We all know someone in our circle of family or friends that have lost or is losing someone due to this disease. Our family personally has lost our grandpa Luis back home in Peru, and now my father-in-law LeRoy, Vietnam veteran and an honorable man who gave the best years of his life serving his country in the military and then as firefighter. Now, he is fighting a different fight.
We have been know for putting our effort and spirit together to support any cause we are called to, because that’s how we are, we care about our people and our community. Steve Phelps, my mentor was one of them at heart and action, bringing awareness on this area meant a lot to him, and I chose to honor his memory in many ways, and this one of them.

By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s®, I’m raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association® to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
Families facing Alzheimer’s and all other dementia need us now more than ever — and with your help, we can be there for them. Please make a donation or register as a participant and start your own fundraising. Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease.
Thank you for helping advance Alzheimer's support, care and research.
