She was a cutie, that mom of mine. She passed in 2016 after battling dementia and Alzheimer's for ten years. Eventually, she forgot she had ever married, had children or grandchildren. She forgot how to dress herself, brush her teeth or hair, and at times, how to use the bathroom. If you took her out for a ride, she would scream out the window she was being kidnapped; mom forgot she was with her granddaughter. Let me tell you the scene that was caused by the police coming to the grocery store.
None of us wants our parents to die, but we know that is inevitable. What we can help control is what we die of. Let's find a cure, won't you help. If you have a brain, you are at risk.
