My family and I are looking forward to hopefully gather together on October 10, 2021, to participate in our 28th Western MD Walk to End Alzheimer's in memory of my late husband Gene, beloved father and grandfather who lost his life after a 13-year battle with Alzheimer's. As his caregiver I joined the only support group available in Frederick at that time and many of the services that are available to families today is because of the funds that we have been able to raise by participating in the "Walk to End Alzheimer's." The funds that we raise locally will help the Alzheimer's Association provide care, support and services to families in our communities through the local chapters, services that were not available to our family when we needed them. This is why the Walk has become a very important part of my life through the years and why I continue to walk. With the dollars we raise, the Alzheimer's Association can provide care, support and services to individuals living with Alzheimer's and their families, while advancing critical research toward methods of treatment and prevention. If you are able and would like to join me and Team HOPE, or sponsor me in this year's Walk, please visit my personal donation website page to make a tax-deductible contribution to the Alzheimer's Association on my behalf or to join our team. Please know that every dollar counts and that no amount is too small. If you prefer, please make your check payable to the Alzheimer's Association and mail to my attention. Thank you for your consideration of a donation and thank you for your continued support. Team HOPE is a member of NARFE's National Walk to End Alzheimer's Team. Update - since February 2021, the Alzheimer's Semipostal Stamp has raised $1.1 million for Alzheimer's research at NIH. Please continue to buy it, use it and help us promote its sale. Thank you!
Thank you for helping advance Alzheimer's support, care and research.
