I am sad, but grateful, to be walking this year's Alzheimer's Walk in honor of my dear friend, Nancy Fetters, who lost her long battle with the disease this past spring. Grateful because Nancy was part of my life for over 40 years. It was my joy and privilege to become part of her family. Nancy was kind and fun and generous...and inspired these qualities in others, myself included. The Walk is Virtual this year. Anyone can walk anywhere! Therefore I'm creating a Team called Nancy's Pony Pals...a nod to her love of carriage driving. I invite all her friends and family to join the Walk or participate by donating to a team member. In Nancy's honor we'll be leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 14 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
