I come to you on the second anniversary of my wife Roberta’s diagnosis of Alzheimer’s. (In hindsight, we see signals before then.)
Bobbie and I have been married for 57 years, and I love her even more than when we were married in 1963. We are blessed with five children and their families (and seven grandchildren). Our youngest child Dana is my Alzheimer’s Walk teammate again this year.
People often say, “I am sorry” when hearing about our challenge. But we do not feel mournful. We lead a life much blessed. Bobbie is doing quite well, and we are more fortunate than many. We feel embraced by family and friends, and we receive great care.
Dana and I reach out not for our family, but for others. What we raise goes to research to find a cure.
That you care is a blessing. Thank you.
P.S.: The “beauty” of using the Donate button is that one can see the momentum instantly. But if you prefer to send in a check, there are instructions above.
Thank you for helping advance Alzheimer's support, care and research.
