In 2011, my life changed forever when my Mom began to show signs and symptoms of what I discovered was Alzheimer's disease. I moved back home to take on the role of primary caregiver. I watched her deteriorate before my eyes, tirelessly fighting her disease. It was during this time that I began living in the moment, making every new memory with my Mom more special than the last. She passed away March 3, 2020. I miss her every day. This is my 2nd year participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer's since I'm passionate about this worthy cause. I'm also fundraising to make sure other families don't have to experience the same heartache. Currently, more than 6 million Americans have Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research toward methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure. For millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
Thank you for joining our movement! The end of Alzheimer's starts here.
With hope and appreciation,
