As many of you know, my mother passed away on January 3, 2020 from complications of Alzheimer's. Although we are very saddened, we know that she is in a better place and no longer suffering. This is a horrible disease, mostly for the caregivers. The patient rarely knows what is happening as they begin to lose their memory and basic human functions. Caregivers take on a lot of responsibility, such as feeding, bathing, and changing their loved ones. I do NOT want to get this disease, and that is why I am fighting for a cure!
I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
