I am walking in honor of my Mom, Sharon Munro living with Alzheimer's for over 12 years. Mom was a RN at Bergan Mercy Hospital for over 25 years in the Intense Care Unit. She and my dad raised 9 kids and she always managed to have dinner on the table every night at 5:30! She loved cooking, playing bridge, and caring for others as well as her family. She's always been a role model to me. She's smart, determined, and always put others before herself. Alzheimer's has taken away her ability to recognize me or know my name. She no longer cooks or plays bridge. She doesn't put together jigsaw puzzles or daily crossword puzzles anymore.. Alzheimer's has taken away all the wonderful things my mom used to love and do well. I am grateful for her ever day and for the woman she was and the woman she is now. Thank you to all of you have already donated to the Walk. If you haven't, there is still time. Please consider and let's end this terrible disease one step at a time. Thank you!
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
