Dear family, friends and supporters-
I’m ready to walk and fundraise for Alzheimer’s again, but this year has thrown us all a big curve!
As you know, Covid has rocked long-term care facilities and nearly half of all those residents live with Alzheimer's or dementia.
The last two months have been hard on my loved one, who is in a nursing home and has been struggling through the pandemic the best she can. But the virus has only compounded the fear, confusion and anxiety that assails her every day from her Alzheimer’s. I don’t know where we would be without the staff and caregivers taking care of her -- true heroes in my eyes!
I’m not sure what the coming months will bring, but I know we need to continue fighting for a cure and a first survivor. I’m joining the 2020 Walk to End Alzheimer's in Washington, D.C. on October 10th! It’s unclear what this year's walk will look like, but I know my incredible grandmother Ginc would fight in the face of this new world and so will I. Her love and memory drive me.
Your gift, of any amount, will allow the Association to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research. I hope you will be able to support my efforts:
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
