About Team Gabbie:
Gabbie is a young girl who has never known her Daddy without Alzheimer's Disease.
When Gabbie was 7 years old, she began to be curious about Alzheimer's Disease. She wanted to know...Why did Daddy have it? Why can't the doctors fix it? Am I going to get it?
Those were very hard questions to answer.
When Gabbie learned that we have to raise money for research in order to cure Alzheimer's Disease, Gabbie went to work.
At 7 years of age, Gabbie hosted two lemonade stands and mailed in $500 to the Alzheimer's Association.
At 8 years of age, Gabbie started her own walk team for Alzheimer's. She hosted lemonade stands, a yard sale, made necklaces, and did a spare change drive. Gabbie raised over $1,200 for a cure.
At 9 years of age, Gabbie expanded her fundraising adventures. She made and sold Valentine's, hosted restaurant give-back events, sold Easter eggs, had a giant yard sale, and did multiple lemonade stands. Gabbie ended up raising over $3,200 for The Alzheimer's Association. Young Gabbie was actually the Number 1 fund raising individual for our area, and Team Gabbie was one of the top earning teams.
At 10 years of age, hosted a Valentine's fundraiser, a restaurant give-back event, a large yard sale, and her usual lemonade stands. She managed yet again to make it to Grand Champion status, and she is an unstoppable powerhouse when it comes to working for a cure for Alzheimer's Disease.
At 11 years of age, it was Gabbie's 5th year to fund raise for a cure. And, we are happy to announce that Gabbie's Daddy is still doing very well. It is, no doubt, greatly in part to the wonderful and loving children he has supporting him every step of the way. And on a great note, this year brought Gabbie's total earnings since she was 7 years old to $7,000 for the Alzheimer's Association. Thank you to everyone who made this happen. She will continue on!
What does 2020 hold? At 12 years of age, it is entirely possible that she could hit $10,000 in donations. Let's do it!
Gabbie NEEDS you to help her! She needs teammates who will help with fundraising in all kinds of different ways. And, she needs your donations too. She is working to save your life. Every third person who reads this page will have some form of Dementia some day. We have to stop this.
Gabbie knows that, together, we can stop Alzheimer's Disease.
