In 2013, I lost my grandmother to Dementia and in late 2018, I sat with my family as we found out that my mother had FTD, what the doctor described as a "younger person's Alzheimer's". Additionally, we have others in our family that have been diagnosed with either Alzheimer's or Dementia. I know all to well the devastation that Alzheimer's and Dementia cause, with the individual and their family and friends. We must pray and work for the cure.
I'm joining the cause to see Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
