In my career assisting older adults I have seen too many families live with and through the devastating effects of Alzheimer's disease. I am participating in the Modesto Walk to End Alzheimer's, September 7th, to assist persons struggling with the disease and their caregivers in our community and throughout our country. The Walk serves to spread information about Alzheimer's disease to the community. I also believe that raising money for research and support is an important way to work together to ease burdens and end this disease.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
