Dear friends and family,
I have been a Physical Therapist for 36 years and have personally watched many patients and families struggle with Alzheimer's disease and the many challenges it brings. In the past few years it has became much more personal as my father in law was diagnosed with Alzheimers disease and passed away in January of 2024.
Alzheimer's is a heartbreaking condition that presents significant challenges for both those affected and their families. The need for increased awareness, better support systems, and effective treatments is undeniable.
The Alzheimer's Association is dedicated to fighting Alzheimer's and other dementias. This organization drives global research, promotes early detection and risk reduction, and ensures quality care and support for those affected. They offer services such as a 24/7 helpline, in-person and virtual support groups, educational programs, and resources for individuals with the disease and their caregivers. The Alzheimer's Association also funds research, raises public awareness, and advocates for policy changes at both national and local levels.
This is my third year walking in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s and my goal is to raise $2000. Any contribution to this very worthy cause would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your consideration,
Sarah
