Why am I walking?
I’m walking because I’ve lived this journey alongside my mother and best friend, Betty Plumb. I’ve seen firsthand how this cruel, progressive disease stripped away the vibrant, loving, joyful woman she once was, leaving her confused, frightened, and a shadow of herself.
Alzheimer’s doesn’t stop — and neither can we. By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, I’m helping raise both awareness and critical funds to support the fight. These funds ensure the Association can provide 24/7 care and support while also driving essential research forward.
As someone who advocated for my mom’s care, I know how exhausting and difficult it can be to push for accurate diagnoses and quality treatment. That’s why we must come together — to raise our voices, spread awareness, and fund a future with better care, better answers, and ultimately, a cure.
Thank you for your support!
