Welcome to Randy's Angels page for the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®!
My father lost his battle with Alzheimer’s two years ago, at 76.
I was lucky to spend the last weeks holding his hand. He was strong, but he was no match for this terrible disease.
My birthday fell on Father's Day this year, and I can't say it was not a tough day, but served as more motivation to help more fathers spend this special day with their loved ones. My personal Walk to End Alzheimer's is dedicated to my dad, his memory, and to helping others. I walked last year, and this year, not only for my dad, but for the living victims of this awful disease, and the ones who are left behind.
I participated in the 2024 Walk, am a Community Outreach Representative for the Northeastern New York Chapter, and serve on the 2025 Schenectady Walk to End Alzheimer's Planning Committee. I am finding ways to pay tribute to my dad's memory, as his life deserves to be celebrated, and being active with the Alzheimer's Association is my way of doing it. The Walk to End Alzheimer's is the largest event to raise funds and awareness to support not only people living with Alzheimer's and their families, but also research toward treatment, prevention, and, ultimately, a cure.
You can make an impact with a donation, or join me on October 4th along the Mohawk Harbor! Your kindness and generosity truly can make a difference in the fight against Alzheimer’s and all other dementia. My team has almost met it's goal, please consider making a donation to Randy's Angels Walk to End Alzheimer's. Any donation is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your support!
