As a licensed clinical social worker, I have the profound privilege of walking alongside individuals living with Alzheimer's disease and their families during some of their most challenging moments. In my practice, I witness daily the courage, resilience, and love that define these journeys - and I also see firsthand the urgent need for better resources, research, and support.
Every session reminds me that behind every diagnosis is a person with a lifetime of stories, relationships, and dreams. I've learned that while Alzheimer's may change how we connect, it never diminishes the fundamental human need for dignity, understanding, and compassion. The families I work with teach me about strength I never knew existed, and about the power of presence even when words are hard to find.
This is why I will be walking in the Walk to End Alzheimer's. Every step I take represents hope for the millions of families navigating this disease, funding for critical research that could change everything, and support for caregivers who give so much of themselves every day.
Thank you for supporting this cause that means so much to me and to those I am honored to serve. Together, we are working toward a world where an Alzheimer's diagnosis doesn't mean losing hope.
