Your participation fuels the care, support, and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association® through the South Carolina Chapter — and we also reward you for your fundraising efforts!
Every Virtual Challenge participant who reaches the recommended fundraising goal of $252 receives our 2022 t-shirt. For Group Ride participants, the t-shirt is included in your registration fee.
There is a $750 fundraising minimum in order to participate in the Group Ride, but we also award special Hincapie cycling gear to all participants that reach the following fundraising milestones. This gear is EXCLUSIVE to Ride to End ALZ® South Carolina!
- $750 earns the official 2022 Hincapie jersey (your choice of race cut, club cut or sleeveless)
- $1,250 earns matching shorts or bibshorts (your choice)
- $1,750 earns matching cycling gloves
- $2,500 earns matching cycling vest
To receive your gear in time for the ride, fundraising milestones must be reached by June 1, 2022. The final deadline to earn incentive gear or other top fundraising prizes will be July 31, 2022, after which gear will be ordered and shipped to participants in October 2022.
FUNDRAISING TIPS AND TOOLS
The prospect of raising money can be intimidating. But with proper planning and helpful tools, reaching your fundraising goal will be no sweat!
Once you register, you'll have access to a personal fundraising webpage and fundraising tools in your Participant Center. Your fundraising webpage makes it easy for donors to make a donation toward your efforts and track your fundraising progress over the next few months.
You can also create a Facebook Fundraiser from your Participant Center! After you register, visit your Participant Center to set up your Facebook Fundraiser. Donations that you receive through your linked Facebook Fundraiser will appear on your personal page and automatically count toward your fundraising goal!

Set or edit your fundraising goal
We recommend that Virtual Ride participants set their goal for at least $252 to earn the t-shirt and that Group Ride participants set their goal for at least $750 to reach the fundraising minimum and earn the jersey by raising $750. You may choose to set your goal higher to earn our bibs/shorts, gloves, and vest! When you set your goal, think about the programs and services made possible by the money you raise.
Build your personal webpage
When you customize your webpage, be sure to highlight why you're riding for the Alzheimer's Association. Use pictures to add a visual component to your fundraising page. If you are riding in honor or memory of a loved one, consider posting a picture of you with that person.
Be the first to contribute
Once you are registered to ride, your easiest pledge will come from yourself. It is always easier to ask others if you have already demonstrated your commitment to your goal with a personal donation.
Email your contacts using our fundraising templates
We've made it easy for you to spread the word about your fundraising efforts! Just load your email contacts and customize our email templates, and your potential donors will receive an email with a link to donate on your webpage.
Access mobile deposit
Have you received check donations toward your fundraising efforts? No need to mail them in - you can install our mobile app and deposit them directly from your phone! All donations deposited through our mobile check deposit will instantly be added to your fundraising page.
