The Routes

Join us for the Ride to End ALZ® Colorado event and experience a once-in-a-lifetime event. This event is a fully supported event for a range of riders, whether you're a novice cyclist, weekend warrior, or avid enthusiast. Choose from multiple route options and select a distance that pushes you to perform at your personal best. If you can ride your bike for 2-hours and have a connection to this cause, then this is the event for you.

From start to finish, you will be supported, and when you cross the finish line and receive your medal, you will feel tears of joy for what you have accomplished. There will be rest stops as a part of every route, SAG (support and gear) vehicles, along with breakfast, lunch, and live entertainment!

All routes start and finish at Canvas Stadium on the Colorado State University campus in beautiful Fort Collins, CO. The 20-mile course is perfect for beginners that want to enjoy the urban tour of this historic city along with a hint of the foothills and countryside. The 45, 60, and 100 mile routes will have less elevation to climb this year as they head south to Loveland and Longmont, but the views will still be incredibly picturesque! All route distances are currently approximate and are subject to change in the distance just slightly.

Description:

If you have a bike or are brand new to cycling and you are ready to change the future of Alzheimer's disease, then the 20-mile route is perfect for you! You will roll to the starting line after the long distance riders depart and experience a sendoff that will leave you with goosebumps. You will head west towards Horsetooth Reservoir, but instead of making the climb, you will then head north on Overland Trail Road. You'll experience the beautiful city of Fort Collins and you will glory at the mountain view that will guide you during the whole ride!

Description:

This route is the perfect mix of a mid-level challenge and includes scenery that can't be beat! It's simply the ride for those of you that take on the challenge for the food and drinks (you know who you are)! You will leave Canvas Stadium and head south through town and head towards Loveland. Then enjoy a more leisurely countryside ride through the farms and unique property that makes up Northern CO on your way back to Fort Collins. This route has a total elevation gain of just over 1,000 and the biggest hill is near Bellevue, but then you'll enjoy cruising back to the stadium thankful for what you've accomplished.

Description:

If you consider yourself an avid cyclist, but also want to get back in time to enjoy the after-party, then this is the route choice for you! The 60-mile route departs at 7:15 with the 100 riders. They share the same route into Loveland where they will separate. The 60 Mile route then heads Northwest through Masonville and over the Horsetooth Reservoir. The ride will join the 20/45 riders in Woodridge. Then head north around Laporte and back through Fort Collins to Canvas Stadium. This route has just over 2300'of elevation and plenty of epic scenery. Safety is our number one priority and we will have fully stocked rest stops approximately every 10-15 miles for you, along with SAG support vehicles.

100-Miles Route

18-22 mph; 5-6 hours to complete

Description:

If you are an overachiever who is ready for the ultimate riding challenge, then we have found your answer. This is a ride that needs to be on your bucket list! Once departing CSU the route will head south to Loveland. Then continue down through Longmont and Hygiene before returning north back through West Loveland. From here the ride will head Northwest to Masonville and over the Horsetooth Reservoir. The 100 riders will merge with the 20/45/60 routes to Laporte. Then skirt south into Fort Collins and an epic finish line at CSU. The 100 mile ride features 3900 feet of elevation and tremendous vistas and countryside. We will have fully stocked rest stops approximately every 10-15 miles, along with SAG support vehicles (sign up for the 100-mile today and you can always adjust to the 60-mile up until event morning if needed).
