Help put and end to Alzheimer's Disease
Dear Family, Friends, and Colleagues,
From the long dark of 2020 comes light and hope in 2021 and beyond.
My awesome friends, Craig, Eva, Jack, Sean, Silas, and I (aka “The Cranks”) will channel this hope into our renewed commitment to support efforts that aspire to bring an end to the suffering caused by Alzheimer’s Disease. While our ride will again be done in a socially distant manner in the month of June, which is Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness month, we will be getting on those bikes and putting in the miles that have more meaning than our training rides!
I will again be riding 100+ miles in memory of my mom, Ruth Buckler, as well as Doris Barker Barnes, William Sydney Barnes Sr, Gertrude Baynes, Arthur Holmberg, Alfred R Kennedy, James Luiz, Una Milton, Shirley O'Donnell, and Barbara Ross. I also ride in honor of family members who have supported and cared for these loved ones in their time of greatest need.
The search for effective Alzheimer's Disease treatments remains one of the greatest biomedical challenges and largest healthcare burdens of our age. I ask that you consider giving new or renewed support for research that aims to stem this growing epidemic that has become an overwhelming burden for our friends, families, and society as a whole. All funds I raise will directly support the efforts of the Alzheimer's Association, the world’s leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s research.
Thank you for your generosity. The end of Alzheimer’s starts with us!
