Our Goal

The world may look a little different right now, but one thing hasn’t changed: our commitment to ending Alzheimer’s. This year, Walk to End Alzheimer’s is everywhere — on every sidewalk, track and trail.

Your health and safety are our top priorities. This year’s event won’t be a large in-person gathering — instead, we invite you to walk in small teams of friends and family while others in your community do the same. Because we are all still walking and fundraising for the same thing: a world without Alzheimer’s and all other dementia.

Facts and Questions

Where is my Tshirt?
All Walkers are encouraged to raise funds through December 31st. Did you miss the 10/9 deadline to earn your shirt by Walk Day? Don't worry shirt orders are being pulled after Walk as well as December 1 and shipped directly to you! You still have the opportunity to receive your shirt. There are NO EXTRA shirts at the office, and we can not swap out sizes this year- apologies!

What about my Donors- do they get a shirt? All walkers must be registered, and those registered who raise $100 or more by 12/1 will receive a shirt. If you had a donor of $100+ and they are not registered, unfortunately they will not receive a shirt.

Where are we meeting?
We are not gathering as a large group athis year. Our VIEW-ONLY promise garden will be up from 9-4 at Long Leaf Park Sponsored by Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage on Saturday; however, we encourage you to Walk Everywhere, with whomever you are comfortable with, wherever you are comfortable.

What do I do on Walk Day?
Log in at 10am to Watch our opening ceremony (or view on demand), throw on your purple gear or 2020 Walk T-shirt and raise awareness for Alzheimer's disease as you turn every sidewalk, trail and treadmil purple. Take lots of pictures and post to social media and email Rachel at rrhine@alz.org. Keep asking for donations as we strive to raise $165 k and check out our view only Promise Garden sponsored by Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage at Long Leaf Park! What if it rains on Saturday?
If you are rained in, it's the perfect chance to cozy up and watch our inspiring opening ceremony at 10am. The beauty of Walk is Everywhere- is we can also walk anytime! You can walk anytime that weekend or this month to help raise critical awareness and funds for Alzheimer's disease! Opening Ceremony Link: https://tinyurl.com/wilmingtonncwtea
