2022 Baltimore Memory Ball Dancing Stars

Details for Night of the Event

Dear Memory Ball Attendees,

We couldn't be more excited to see you all at the Dancing Stars Memory Ball on Saturday night at the Marriott Waterfront beginning at 7 pm. Below you will find information regarding logistics around the event as well as important COVID related safety protocols. Please read in full and contact David Jonas at or at 202-251-9640 (call/text) on the day of the event if you have any questions.

Throughout the pandemic, the Alzheimer’s Association has focused on the health and safety of our constituents, volunteers, donors, and staff, as we work together to advance our mission. Considering the recent uptick in COVID positivity rate in our state, along with the fact that breakthrough cases are occurring more frequently in vaccinated individuals, the Association strongly encourages volunteers and event attendees to be vaccinated and in addition have a negative COVID test prior to attending irrespective of your vaccination status. At home tests are readily available at your local pharmacy and should be done within 24 hours of the event.

We are continuously monitoring the positivity rates and at this point in time we will not be collecting information regarding proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test however your willingness to complete a test prior to the event will give everyone peace of mind. In keeping with local regulations, we will not require a mask mandate for the evening of the Gala however guests are welcome to wear them. Hand sanitizer and disposable masks will be made available. Lastly, we strongly encourage any guests that are feeling ill the night of the Gala to refrain from attending. Let's all do our best to protect each other, our loved ones, caregivers, and people with dementia both at the event and in our communities.

Event logistics:

All guests who have provided their cell phone numbers prior to the event will receive a text message that will allow you to pre-register and skip the registration line. You will also receive your table number. You can enter your credit card into the OneCause app which will allow you to easily vote for your favorite dancer. If you would prefer to wait until the event to do that, you can swipe your card at registration or with any of our volunteers during the performances. Our Dancers will certainly appreciate your support of all of their hard work and dedication.

We will open the doors to the ballroom beginning at 7 pm and will have bars in the ballroom and in the foyer. We strongly encourage our guests to spread out and not congregate in tight spaces.

As our frequent guests know, parking at the Marriott can be limited. Valet parking will be available but will result in longer wait times when leaving. We encourage guests to park at the Four Seasons hotel parking lot which is located across the street. The weather is looking good for Saturday so the brief walk will be pleasant.
