In memory of Margaret Ann Bostwick
In Grove City, Ohio, Margaret Ann (Hyde) Bostwick went home to be with the Lord on September 24, 2022, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Margaret was born on July 6, 1956, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, to the late Clifton Joseph (Joe) Hyde and Mary Ann (Streagle) Hyde. She spent most of her childhood and adult life in Ohio, first in Hamilton, then in Hilliard, where she graduated from Hilliard High School in 1974. She received an undergraduate degree in sociology and counseling from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, in 1978. Her professional career in Columbus featured work experiences in the health care field as well as a long tenure with the State of Ohio, first as a safety compliance officer in the former Department of Industrial Relations, and later in occupational safety/health support roles with the Department of Commerce.
When not working, Margaret was an avid reader and lover of mystery novels, and she was active for many years in both instrumental and vocal music ministries, most recently as a member of Upper Arlington Lutheran Church.
As a child, Margaret was both a Brownie and Girl Scout, a collector of teacups and porcelain miniatures, and an ardent cat lover.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 32 years, Donald M. Bostwick, a daughter, Amy Jo Bostwick, three brothers, Michael (Barbara), Joseph (Jaime), and Patrick (Carolyn) Hyde, and numerous nieces and nephews and their family members.
A memorial celebration of Margaret’s life will occur at a future date.
