Our dear father, Arthur Hemmerling, passed away on July 24, 2015, after steadily declining health due to frontal lobe dementia (similar to Alzheimer's). Art was a vibrant man with a great sense of humor and a strong love for his family. We want all to remember Art as he was before dementia took a hold of him and encourage you to donate to the Alzheimer's Association to further their work in research and assisting families through this very difficult disease.

Art was always such a kind man to me. I miss my discussions with him. That part of my interactions with Art never changed. In recent years, even when he didn't recognize me and it was as though we were meeting for the first time, we still had interesting conversations.
