Why We Walk:

Nurses can accomplish great things working together! Several chapters of Sigma, the International Honor Society for Nurses, are serving our communities by raising funds for Alzheimer’s research.

SIGMA Nurses, as part of our global initiatives to improve health and promote healthy outcomes, will be participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in multiple locations across six states. You are invited to join one or more walks to show your support for research and help us reach our goals. Please invite friends, family, and colleagues to participate with you!

There are multiple locations throughout the United States where you would be welcome to wear purple and join with those walking to end Alzheimer’s as well as supporting Sigma Theta Tau as we work to raise awareness and funds for a disease which affects us all.

Click on "Start a Team" and enter your zip code, choose which locations and dates would suit you best to walk. Name your team 100 yrs of SIGMA Nursing—Phoenix, 100 yrs of SIGMA Nursing--Boise or 100 yrs of SIGMA Nursing—Sacramento, etc. If a team is formed in the area you want to walk you can click JOIN a Team. Putting 100 yrs in front will make it easier to find the team. Invite friends to join you in your local area. Go Nurses!
