Edgewood Healthcare is extremely excited and honored to again partner with the Alzheimer’s Association for their annual The Longest Day fundraiser. For the last nine years Edgewood has participated in The Longest Day on a company-wide scale, raising hundreds of thousands in donations plus much-needed awareness regarding the Alzheimer’s epidemic. Our team continues to be humbled by the amount of donations, support, awareness and passion our sponsors, participants, staff, residents and families generate each year during our dozens of Longest Day events. This year our goal is to raise $50,000 toward the Alzheimer’s Association’s fight to #ENDALZ!

At Edgewood we understand that most family caregivers didn’t plan to be in the role they end up in or fully prepare for everything it would entail. When their loved one started to show signs of memory loss they just jumped right in. It’s overwhelming to suddenly be responsible for someone else’s entire world: finances, house, chores and even basic daily needs; caring for a loved one can be demanding and it changes the lives of everyone involved. At Edgewood we understand. There’s not always one right answer, and we certainly don’t have all the answers, but what we can offer is nearly three decades of Alzheimer’s and memory care expertise, caring for residents and families that find themselves navigating this often complex journey. Our goal is to be a partner in their journey and allow family members to return to the roles they’ve spent a lifetime perfecting: spouse, daughter, son, grandchild. Edgewood passionately supports The Longest Day and what it represents for the millions of individuals, families and caregivers Alzheimer’s touches daily.
