Why We Walk
My mother’s sister who was my Aunt Opal, that we called Toots, had Alzheimer’s for ten years. My mother and I were her caregivers from 1984 til 1994. At that time there was not a lot of information about Alzheimer. There have been several folks in my local Retired Educators Unit who have had dealings with this disease. This state organization has never had Alzheimer for a Humanitarian Project. I am excited and proud to be partnering with the Alzheimer Organization all over the state of Georgia.
