Why We Walk: On behalf of the almost 7 million American's living with Alzheimer's disease, thank you for rallying around a cause that affects 1 in 3 people in the communities where you work and live. This year, Cardinal Health has started a National Team in support of the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s®. Held annually, these 1-3-mile walks occur in 600+ communities each fall and are the world’s largest events raising awareness and funds for care, support, and research of Alzheimer’s disease & dementia and your help is needed!

Cardinal Health employees are encouraged to form Walk teams, raise funds, and come together to support a Walk event in their local community. All funds raised and donated will contribute to critical research efforts, support services for patients and caregivers, and educational programs to increase awareness and understanding of Alzheimer’s disease & dementia. By walking together, we not only support a crucial cause but also strengthen our bonds as a company, working towards a common goal of eradicating Alzheimer’s.

IMPORTANT: If you are creating your own Walk team, please be sure to select "Cardinal Health" under the Group/Company drop-down so all Cardinal Health funds raised will be tallied together.

**CARDINAL HEALTH EMPLOYEES ONLY**

The Cardinal Health Foundation will match 100% of employee donations to the Alzheimer's Association, (up to $1,000 per employee per calendar year). All full and part-time employees are encouraged to make their donations directly to Cardinal Health National Team Fundraising page to automatically receive their match contribution for their donation. If you donate $50, our team will actually receive $100! For any donations made directly to a Walk team/through the Alzheimer's Association website, employees will need to follow these steps to receive their Cardinal Health company match.
