David Michael Forde was born on December 13, 1948 in Galway, Ireland to Patrick and Maryanne Forde. David moved to the United States when he was 17 years old, and resided in Connecticut.

David passed away on October 26, 2009 at the Hebrew Home Health Care Hospital in Hartford, CT after a long battle with Frontal Temporal Lobe Dementia.

David is survived by wife Janet Torok Forde of Newtown, CT. He was also the very beloved father to Margaret Forde of Plainville, CT and Erica Kowalski of Woodbury, CT. He also leaves behind son-in-law Steve and Grandson Alexander David Kowalski. David is also survived by brother Cyril Forde of NY, sisters Sheila Conneely and Theresa McGann of Ireland, as well as many nieces and nephews.

David worked for United Rentals until 2007. David loved nature, hiking and animals especially his beloved dog, Pepe, who was his loyal companion throughout his illness. and his cat Kramer. David will be severely missed by all who knew and loved him.
