Alois (Louie) was born in 1926 and was in WWII. He loved life, family and everything in between. He went to many WWII reunions across the states. He was diagnosed with dementia after his stroke in 2018. He knew something wasn't right when he would get angry and say "I know what I want to say, but I can't get the word out" We knew then that it was going to get more difficult for him. As we (Myself & husband) continued to care for him, we knew that left meant right and up meant down. The battle got harder as the months continued but we stayed strong and reassured him he wasn't going anywhere and that seemed to ease his mind. He was able to live at home (his wishes) till the final day. Grandpa, we love you and know you are at peace now and this isn't goodbye but toodaloo for now.
