Why do I want to run the NYC Marathon and fundraise for the Alzheimer's Association??  To honor my FATHER!  

Alzheimer's has robbed my father of the prime years of his life.  It's a disease that has taken away his ability to do the most simple things that I no longer take for granted.  Every time I run my mantra is "I RUN TODAY BECAUSE SOME DAY I WON'T BE ABLE AND TODAY IS NOT THAT DAY!"  Along with "I RUN FOR THOSE WHO CAN'T!"

My Dad is not alone, currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's disease and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk and we must come together to change the course of this disease.

Please support my efforts by making a donation. All funds raised benefit  the Alzheimer's Association and its work to enhance care and support programs and advance research toward methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's disease.
