A sad realization in making this page is that I always have to use an old photo as there can never be a new photo of my Mom and I.
This is Frances Brower. She was 82-years old. She had been married for just over 60 years and raised 4 children. She has 1 brother, 1 sister and 7 grandchildren. She is my Mom, and Alzheimer's took her from us in May of 2020. She didn't remember me. She didn't remember my siblings; she didn't remember herself. She filled our lives with so very much love and care, and there was nothing we could do for her as this once vibrant, amazing woman faded away, slowly, a little more each day. We couldn't even visit her in the final months of her life due to the Coronavirus pandemic, and that will forever haunt me.
All we can do now is love her as much as we ever have, and honor her memory. In an effort to do just that, we, her children, are walking to end Alzheimer's on Sunday, September 15th. We are FourFran, and we're Remembering Frances, because she couldn't.

At our first event in 2015 we promised that would be Team FourFran's only all-out request for donations, and you came thru in the best of ways. This year we're participating again, but no hard sell. If you can give, great! If you can't, we're all good. We have a modest team goal and I promise I will not be adjusting my personal goal from the initial $2500 I start with.

I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's(R). Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease. Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
