2021 RIDE TO END ALZ! (ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE)
Hello and I hope that you and your family are safe and well.
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer's research- only dollars. By participating in the 2021 Ride to End ALZ, I've committed to raising awareness and funds to advance the research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association®.
My 89 year old mother-in-law, Ann, has been battling with ALZ for a number of years, and continues to decline cognitively and physically with her mobility, and other normal daily tasks such as getting dressed and undressed, brushing her teeth, etc. She also struggles with word finding and many other issues that takes away her dignity, and the dignity from all that are dealing with this horrible and fast progressing disease. ALZ is also very difficult on caretakers (family, friends, or professionals), and on family members and friends in general.
And you can help me. These dollars are desperately needed- for the more than 5.8 million Americans living with Alzheimer's, their 16 million caregivers, and millions more who have lost a loved one to this disease.
I will be riding my road bike 30 miles this Saturday, June 5, 2021, from Chelmsford to Concord along with my wife, Maureen, as part of the ALZ Team, which we have joined to raise these critically needed funds for all those that are battling ALZ or have succumbed to ALZ.
Please support my efforts by making a donation. All funds raised benefit the Alzheimer's Association and their ground breaking momentum in the field of Alzheimer's research. 90% of the funds raised go toward the Association's efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer's and other dementias.
Help me cycle towards a world with our first survivor and donate today! Thank you, and I hope you and yours stay healthy and safe! Best, Bill
