My Personal Fundraising Page
On the 19th I am joining special friends to bike for the Ride to End Alz. Many of you who know me know that I have been in the dementia related field for 15 years now. Writing this my heart feels full, heavy, sad, yet filled with love and gratitude for the many people whom have touched my heart. I can honestly say that my Mimi’s Alzheimer’s and my Memere’s vascular dementia has allowed me to be a vessel to love and help those living with dementia and their families. Through the pain, the grief, the laughter, the tears I have been in it with my whole heart.
I now work for the MA/NH chapter of the Alzheimer’s association as a care consultant helping thousands of caregivers and those living with dementia a year. I feel a great amount of gratitude that I can do that with this organization, the give me autonomy and my heart and empathy to do the work I need to do to help and I will always be grateful for that.
To honor my friends living with dementia, my caregiver friends, those who have passed, those who will be effected in the future: I ask for a donation if you are able, with all my love- Jenna
