Martha Anne Kubicek died on Thursday November 19, 2020 at the age of 82. She was formally diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in 2017, by which point the disease was at an advanced stage, with the additional onset of Alzheimer's being evident. From that point as a family, we began to learn about the many forms and paths of this complex and debilitating disease. We were particularly struck by the way those affected can experience relief, however fleeting, from the agitation and confusion that dominate. For Martha, this came through human interactions, watching wildlife in her yard, looking through photos, art and music. We've set up this tribute page as a means of honoring Martha, in lieu of flowers, to help fund research and offer relief to those impacted by all forms of dementia.
