Walk With Us
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 18
It's been nearly 2 years since Marvin's diagnosis of early-onset Alzheimer's, about 2-1/2 years since dementia was confirmed. He's in the early stages yet, so his disease is invisible to many but is obvious to those who spend considerable time with him. It's progressing slowly, for which we are very thankful! We're claiming hope that a cure will be found, and cling to the words in Isaiah 43:1-2.
With that hope, we are leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®.
We will be walking on Saturday, September 18, 10:00 am, from our home in Big Lake. Arrive between 9:30 & 10 for donuts! After the walk, a light lunch will be served. We'd love for you to stay! (You can also walk in your own area, if you'd prefer!)
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 14 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support, and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
Thank you for joining Starvin's Army and the fight against Alzheimer's!
