In 2020 we lost my husband's best friend to a rare form of Alzheimer's Disease - Posterior Cortical Atrophy. The toll this early onset took on his family - emotionally, physically and financially - was so hard to see them endure and the impact continues. We are so proud of how they all came together to support him through an extremely difficult journey, but their loss is still having a big impact in their lives.
In 2025 we had to move my 92 yr-old Dad into a memory care facility to help with his dementia due to Parkinson's Disease. It was a hard decision to make, especially when he won't be living with his wife of 72 years! Thankfully the long term care insurance he purchased 20 years ago will help bear some of the cost.
At work, I assist clients and their family members who are navigating the challenges of Alzheimer's disease as it relates to their financial needs. This is a time that calls for patience and understanding when everyone is facing a dramatic change in their lives.
2025 will mark my 9th year of Walk and I hope you will join me in supporting this great organization. Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer's!
