It's that time again!. The photo is from 2021 walk. On the big screen behind me are my mom and bobi (Yiddush for grandmother), and my sisters, Sarah, Ruth and Rebecca are standing by my side. It's still so hard that mom is gone, I miss her everyday. Alzheimer’s can run in families, and it runs in mine. This disease is relentless and unforgiving. I know we all do what we can, but we must find a cure! By participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's, I've committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer research, care and support.
Please feel free to join our team Chai Hopes. Chai represents many things in Hebrew, importantly, life and the number 18. It is a tradition to make donations in increments of 18, so that's what I'm asking you for if you can, $18 (or multiples if you're feeling generous).
I need your support to do my part! Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into prevention, treatments and a cure for Alzheimer's. Any amount, no matter how small, would be great. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
Thank you for joining our movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts here, and it starts with us.
I wish you all the best,
Rachel
