The legend of Wichita’s fluffiest philanthropist...
Once upon a time, at the bustling corner of Central and Greenwich in Wichita, a feathered friend appeared. No one knew where he came from, but there he stood — bold, curious, and completely unfazed by traffic. Wichita fell in love.
Some call him Tom. Others call him Pablo. But no matter the name, one thing is for sure: this turkey is more than just a roadside celebrity.
He’s a symbol of joy, resilience, and now… hope.
Tom (we’ll call him that today) has been strutting his stuff through Wichita’s hearts, and now he’s taking his most important walk yet: The Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
Why? Because Tom knows that Alzheimer’s isn’t just a disease that affects memory — it affects families, friends, and entire communities. And turkeys? Well, they never forget who they care about.
Tom is walking with the Wichita White Flower Warriors in honor of those living with Alzheimer’s, those we’ve lost, and the families still fighting. He may not have pockets (turkeys are weird like that), but he’s hoping YOU do — and that you’ll consider donating to his page.
Whether it’s $5 or $50, every dollar helps provide care, support, and hope for a future without Alzheimer’s.
Let’s show that big-hearted bird just how generous Wichita can be.
Let’s walk with Tom. Let’s walk for memory. Let’s walk to end Alzheimer’s.
Donate today and gobble up the chance to do some good!
