As students and faculty in Occupational Therapy, we recognize the vital role that OTs play in supporting individuals affected by Alzheimer’s disease, their families, and caregivers. Through person-centered care, environmental modifications, and meaningful engagement in daily life, occupational therapy enhances quality of life across the course of the disease.
In alignment with these values, the 2025 IllisOTA Board is proud to lead a team from the UIC Occupational Therapy Department in this year's Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Our goal is to raise awareness, mobilize community support, and fund research that advances care and promotes dignity.
Together, let’s take steps toward a world without Alzheimer’s.
