On September 27th, 2025, I will be walking in honor of my precious mother, pictured here on my page. She has battled this disease daily for almost a decade. Before my father passed in January of 2018 he made clear to my sister and me that we were going to "have our hands full" with our mother, because of her mental decline. He was right. Mamma has lived between my sister's house and my house for the last 8 years. Caring for our mother has been a labor of love and devotion and I am thankful for each day, despite the slow decline we painfully witness. I am incredibly thankful that she is still with us today and for all of the caring support that surrounds mamma each day.
I've never asked my friends, family, and network to support a cause, either with their time or their money. But this year I am. :)
The Walk To End Alzheimer's in Washington DC raises awareness and funds to advance the fight against this disease - funds that allow the Alzheimer's Association to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
Please consider making a donation or registering as a participant and starting your own fundraising efforts. Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease.
Thank you for your support!
Sincerely,
Carter
