My husband Aaron Daniels was diagnosed with younger-onset Alzheimers disease in March of 2023 at age 62. It's a horrific disease for which there is no cure. We thought we had decades ahead to enjoy our retirement and watch our grandchildren grow. Instead I'm watching my husband slip away little by little every day. Even though Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping neither are we. From the day he was diagnosed we both knew we would fight this disease with everything we have in us.
By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, I’m raising awareness and funds to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research. Did you know it can take decades for therapies to move through clinical trials and be approved by the FDA? Unacceptable. Aaron and others like him don't have that kind of time.
Families facing Alzheimer’s and all other dementia need us — and with your help, we can be there for them. Please make a donation or join our team and fundraise with us. We will look forward to seeing you on Walk day! Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease.
Thank you for your support!
