I Walk in Remembrance and Honor
I walk in remembrance of the many family members on both my side and my husband’s side who have suffered from Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia. Our families have stared this disease in the face, fought with all our might, cared for our loved ones through the hardest times, and, sadly, lost them to this devastating illness.
I want to specifically honor three people who have profoundly impacted both my life and my husband’s life:
•My Mother: Fannie (Ann) Pritchett, who is currently battling early-stage Alzheimer’s.
•My Grandfather: Dan Warren Willis, who passed away after his own struggle with this disease.
•My Husband’s Grandfather: Ephrim “Sonny” Marshall Braley, whose life was also touched by this illness.
Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping, and neither am I. By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, I am raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease—funds that will support the Alzheimer’s Association in providing 24/7 care and support while driving critical research forward.
Families facing Alzheimer’s and all other forms of dementia need us now more than ever. With your support, we can be there for them. Please consider making a donation, joining my team, or registering as your own participant to start fundraising. Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease.
Thank you for your support!
