When I think about my journey with Alzheimer’s, it’s not just a disease—it’s a reality that has impacted my family deeply. My father-in-law, Dr. George Herring, and my grandfather, Lincoln C. Williams, both fought courageously against this devastating illness before passing away. Watching them struggle with memory loss and the daily challenges of dementia was heartbreakingly real. It made me realize how critical it is to do everything I can to bring awareness to this disease and support those affected.
That’s why I’m participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s—to raise funds and awareness for a cause that has touched my life so deeply. By doing this, I’m not just walking for myself or my family; I’m walking for everyone who has ever been impacted by Alzheimer’s or dementia. The funds raised will help the Alzheimer’s Association provide crucial support to families like mine while accelerating research toward a cure.
This is more than just a walk—it’s a movement. With your help, we can ensure that no one faces this disease alone and that researchers continue to make progress in understanding and combating it. Together, we can create a world where Alzheimer’s doesn’t steal any more lives.
Please, if you can, consider making a donation or joining me in the walk. Your support will make a real difference—not just for my family, but for countless others who are also dealing with this disease.
Thank you for standing with me in this fight against Alzheimer’s.
