Why I Ride

I lost both of my maternal grandparents to Alzheimer's and dementia - I've seen the devastating impacts of these diseases, including to close family members and friends.

I am riding in the 2023 Colorado Ride to End ALZ because I know that every dollar raised through the event goes directly to the Alzheimer's Association's efforts to discover new methods of treatment and prevention. Money raised by the Alzheimer's Association, for example, helped fund research that resulted in the development of Lecanemab, a new treatment currently in clinical trials. With each mile I ride, I am raising funds to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s.
