My Great Grandmother Pauline Gowan was my life and I loved her so much! When I started to notice changes in her I brushed it off for the longest convincing myself she would get better. But it was time to face reality I had to face the fact she had Alzheimer's disease. I was young and didn't know much about this thief, it want until the end of her disease I met a lady Joyce Finkle who worked for the Alzheimer's association who I now know was God's way of showing me I could end this . I started walking for the cause, and in 2012 I became a committee member for the walk and then stepped up to a chair member and will continue to do this till this nightmare can end for all. As baby boomers continue to age and retire Alzheimers rates are expected to increase! I’m on a mission to see someone carry that white flag saying that they beat Alzheimers and we can finally have a cure! Alzheimers is not backing down and neither am I!!
