Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping and neither are we. By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, I’m raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
I participated in last year's Walk and will be doing so this year again. I am teaming with the TCC Walk-to-End Alzheimer's Team as well to try to work with like-minded individuals dedicated to this cause. My grandad, Herman Flechs, passed away due to Alzheimer's in 2005. In 2022, my dad, Gary Taggart, passed away due to Fronto-Temporal Dementia. I am raising funds to honor them and to help fund research to better understand, and possibly find a cure, to these diseases. Watching people you love slowly lose themselves, and/or forget the ones around them that love them, is heart-wrenching. If you decided to donate to support my fundraising goal, thank you so much. If you do not have the ability to, please consider sharing. My goal this year is ambitious at $1000. I have kickstarted this goal already. The walk is Saturday September 21st, 2024. Please help me reach my goal.
Thank you!
