Why I Ride:
In July of 2014, after a long and storied life, my Mother's years-long struggle with Alzheimer's finally and peacefully ended. On November 11th, my brother Berry and I will put wheels to the road in her memory, with hopes that this organization's efforts can one day at the very least minimize the effects of this disease, and possibly even eradicate it from the human experience. With full hearts and 110psi in the tires, we will spend the day on the roads around Wimberly, TX talking about Mom, not worried about finishing dead last and hoping the day might make a difference.
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer’s research — only dollars. Which is why I am asking for your support. I am participating on the Ride to End ALZ®, a fully-supported, premier cycling event that supports the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer’s disease.
With each mile I ride, I am raising funds to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s. Thank you for cheering me on.
Cheer Me On!
