This July, I will be participating in Ride to End ALZ South Carolina, a three-day, 255 mile cross-state cycling journey. Together, we can go the distance for all those affected by Alzheimer’s. The mission is to raise the funds needed for the research, care and support efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
We all know family members and friends and have been close to those who have been affected by dementia/Alzheimers, only to watch them gradually slip away from our grips. Last year, I had my own health issues as a result of a botched, but very common, medical procedure. The first half of last year, I had two major surgeries, a massive E. coli infection, multiple blockages, and multiple medical procedures to fix the situation. Just one year later, I've gained a significant amount of my strength back and I'm planning to ride the farthest I've ever ridden (for three days straight) for the more than 6 million Americans living with this disease, and the over 11 million family members and friends who provide them with care. Please join me in fighting for this great cause. Working together we can help speed up the research and exciting progress being made in the fight to end Alzheimer's.
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer’s research — only dollars. Will you join me by making a donation today? With each mile I ride and every dollar raised, I am confident we will get closer and closer to more treatments and ultimately finding that first survivor of Alzheimer’s. Thank you for cheering me on!
Cheer Me On!
