My grandmother, Verna lived with dementia for many years. She passed away in 2015 with the disease. My grandma was an inspiration to me and one of my favorite people in the whole world. I am now working at the Alzheimer's Association to learn more about what she went through and how I can make a difference now for all people living with Alzheimer's or other of dementia as well as their care partners and supporters. I am walking to honor her and everyone else who has passed away or is living with Alzheimer's or another form of dementia.
